about

Tin Cup" was built as a a thank you to some of our favorite friends. Some we know very well, and some we only know through their art. This recording features some amazing artists, whom happen to also be our friends. Jen Condos, Jon Epcar, Dave Wilson, and William Gramling. All incredible musicians, as well as people. This is our thank you to them, and to those who continue to make art wherever they are.

Thank you to our friend and fashion designer Airi Isoda, of wrk_shp for the "Tin Cup" single art. (created lace top with COYOL hardware) www.wrk-shp.com

lyrics

TIN CUP

ill watch your film
till all the images get blurred
and ill hang on every single word
i love you for being subtle and unrehearsed

i was in the park
enthusiastically running around after dark
sometimes i get a burst
and i can shout loud enough to scare even the unchurched

and your arms
ill take them in a tin cup
and your heart in a coffee mug
ill lift my eyes up and you,
you'll be a train wreck
and they, they'll try to get to us
but ain't here yet

and ill read your book
the one with all the pictures you took
i will force myself to look
at all the different ways
you said simply to be brave
for surely these are
dangerous days

of whistling round
the trees we've made
and falling in to
creeks upside down
oh my i love a sunny day
and you said be brave

and your arms
ill take them in a tin cup
and your heart in a coffee mug
ill lift my eyes up
and you, you'll be a train wreck
and they, they'll try to get to us
but ain't here yet

but we, we are here
le sacré coeur de verre
oh my have we found it?
the secret of the planet
was written on your bonnet in invisible ink
now everyone is gonna want it!

i wish that you were here
with me and my whiskey but oh! i know!
i know a field full
of bones is all you'd find
a tree house full of time
it'd be that long

and your arms
ill take them in a tin cup
and your heart in a coffee mug
ill lift my eyes up and you,
you'll be a train wreck
and they, they'll try to get to us
but ain't here yet(x2)

but me,
i mean i've already done it!
i get up easy
a well watered tree beside me
and i'm as green and happy as i ever could be.

about

COYOL Los Angeles, California

COYOL is a collision of the old Southwest and the new Los Angeles. A seemingly contradictory duo, COYOL is a beautiful juxtaposition between polished and poignant vocalist, Celeigh Champan, and unrefined, avant-garde artist, John Isaac Watters.
